Taken blights have invaded the tower and the vanguard along with other characters in the tower are acting like it’s business as usual. No cutscene of their reaction, not one thing. There’s so many missed opportunities in this game but Bungie please be more creative in game with cutscenes as you are with grimoire.

After thinking bout it, I don't think others can see the taken stuff. Reason I say that: when talking about savathun, lakshmi was talking about rumors, like she didn't have proof. If she could see the things, the way her character is this season, she would've said something. Think we can see them cause we are getting to look behind the curtain so to speak with the glove.

7 回复I don’t think they can see them. I think we are the only ones who can thanks to our splicer training. We are seeing through the simulation and it’s layers while others are just seeing the endless night. The stuff has always been there we’re just able to see more of it now that we’ve been training as Splicers.

1 回复Much like america the tower is convinced that if it ignores a problem it will go away.

Exactly. Even if they didnt want to do a cutscene, at least have the characters react to the changes with some new lines. Even if those lines were just the written messages on the side we get when we interact with them. Something.

1 回复Lol not even your ghost has anything to say. It’s probably just another bug. Isn’t everything steadily been declining in quality the last two years? Ghost is the reason why I play on 0 dialogue volume

1 回复NPCs do seem unnaturally calm. Maybe they are simulations too. Maybe the whole Tower is a simulation. And if it is, you know what that means…
nerf fusion rifles
Well, it's simply an aesthetic change in the Endless Night. Remember, our incursions into the Vex Network do have an effect on the simulation over the City, now Quria attempting to stitch the Vex Domains back together with Taken power is doing the exact same. I'd like to see the people of the Last City panicking a bit about it though, but considering we're likely about to kick in Quria's Vex chassis I don't see us getting much of that.

Yeah, I was little bit upset that Bungie, and the people in the tower aren't making a bigger deal about this. It always used to bother me how lifeless the tower in D1 & D2 was. The only people you can interact with are vendors who give you bounties. For all its immaculate world building ( the grimoire ), Destiny isn't very subtle at reminding the player that they are playing a video game, because its NPC's don't feel like real people. Last year I started playing Genshin Impact, and NPC's in that game feel more 3 Dimensional. They have specific jobs, crushes, prejudices, and personality quirks. They gossip about shit, and they react to changes in the world.

2 回复We actually said the same thing. I dont even care for a cutscene but damn, at least a few lines from zavala to acknowledge their presence..it felt...strange

1 回复由CleverInvective编辑: 6/24/2021 4:07:06 PMLore is cheap and easy to write. You only need one writer and a typewriter. Bungie is putting all their love into whatever this new game is. Netease pumped them full of money for it so Destiny is a coasting train; a cash cow to milk while putting as little labor in as possible. Where do you think all the map building effort is going right now? Seeing how they handle destiny, i definitely wont be buying into whatever their new game is.
