You may need to start over because that anti-splash damage mod seems to mitigate the effectiveness of fusions. However I have also been running 10 mobility.

I know I was wearing that mod, but I was the one firing the fusions and I don't think my friend was wearing the mod, so I don't see how that would affect the tests.
