I imagine it's truly because so few people have it because how potentially challenging it can be. The percentage of players who have hit Fabled Rank has to be incredibly small. I have the Claymore and I thought the amount of points youd lose for going on a loss streak was ridiculous. I do think RBMM has to potential to keep alot of players out of Fabled Rank who would probably get it under the current system. Which Im okay with.
That being said, I still don't expect more than 2-3% max of the playerbase to be able to acquire Redrix Claymore before the season ends.
I just went on DTR and looked at Glory Ranks for Xbox. It's something like 1238 players currently sitting in Fabled Rank or Higher. A little over 4000 in Fabled Rank Between All 3 platforms. That's gotta be insanely small even if you consider those who may got the weapon but then lost and fell out of Fabled Rank.

The numbers don't lie and thanks for actually researching them. So are you saying that since the numbers are low that we shouldn't be concerned? I would like to see more grind endgame activities like this in Forsaken, I hope that they make us earn it and not just give them away when the general public gets upset and complains about it. I do agree that the numbers are low but this could be due to lack of player base in D2, to begin with. The casuals move on but the endgame is for those who have an entirely different agenda.

Nah I’m all for the numbers remaining low in regards to how many people get the Claymore. That thing was a huge pain in the ass to get. The only thing I wish is that it was a little better because I personally I don’t think it’s good at all outside of the Desperado Perk. Too much kick and the metal arms on the sight are annoying.

lol, let's just agree for now it's a trophy gun at best! It was a pain in the arse to get but the friends I made along the way to get it was a great experience...In fact, I still have fun helping other people that are close make it happen. I had someone on my stream actually offer me $200 to get it for them...(That never happened of course) but that made me realize that the Redrix and the grind to get it, has definitely made its impact on the community.

Point taken about the RBMM and the Rank system update. I have a feeling more people will complain that the system is too difficult and future efforts to endgame activities like this will be compromised or created with far less difficulty. That is a problem that has plagued D2 from the beginning and I don't want it repeated at the cost of casual based player complaints.

Then put that issue with PvE, not PvP. PvP is not difficult or challenging, its you grinding and getting better at a PvP game. You need PvP players in those activities to make them sucessful and have players to play against. If you say all players should stay away but the elite, you get the most insanely underpopulated gmae modes out there. -cough- Competitve -cough-

The Competitive /Glory Redrix grind is the base for new endgame PvP activities in D2, I would never move this post to the PvE category as I feel it doesn't belong there. By taking on the quest to attain the Redrix I did stumble across some interesting things. I met players who were willing to put in the time and coordinate schedules to play more frequently to get the weapon. It was at this point that I noticed it wasn't solely about attaining the weapon anymore, it was about camaraderie and sharing the experience, something I haven't seen on the PvP side since the D1 Trials days. In my humble opinion, makes the PvP experience unique. Let's not take away the grind and reward others by making it easier, it will ruin what it's original intent was created for. Let's be consistent.

No, the grind is broken. Redrix is supposed to be possible to acquire for about 40% of the playerbase. That means right now 20% should have it. You know how many have the darn thing??? .01% of players because its not fun or intersesting to grind for it unless you have a full team. That defeats the entire purpose of competitive if you have no one playing it. There is no point to it. You need people in the game mode 1ST

Point taken, you have to remember a few key points here. First, you can use all sorts of LFG sites, Bungie included, to assist everyone in finding other players to help along the way. Second, I still play Comp and I have never had a problem matching up to find other players to play against. Now I am not saying you are entirely wrong here but I do agree we are in need of more players in the D2 community but that has been the problem for some time now.
