Makes sense. I thought Gods of Mars was because of Clovis Bray, and that they were the one's who created the Ghosts and not the Traveler. Basically the remnant cores of deceased Exos forged in the Traveler's light. In D1, during the Mars mission from Rise of Iron we find out about SIVA, but we also found out that they did "research" on the Traveler, which led me to believe they performed experiments on the Light. Experiments which led to drones capable of manipulating the frequency of the Traveler's energy. Which is how Ghaul knew how to capture the Traveler, convert it's energy into Light and harness it for himself. Because of the Cabal & the Psion Flayers on Mars.
