Hate to point this out but the grimoire was called folklore, not the events of D1. So right there you need to relax and think.
If you used your brain you’d know why. Some parts of the lore and history are being finally changed, this has been going on since before D1 even came out. Did you know that? Look it up.
They can’t say specifically what is being changed because, shocker, it’d be a massive spoiler.
So some of the grimoire is folklore because that’s the literally in game reason for explaining the changes.
They did a poor job of explaining that because they don’t like bringing up the story editing issues they’ve had.
Get a grip dude. Like your company, do some research before making a public statement that makes you look foolish.

由CAD1420Z编辑: 3/13/2018 11:09:23 AMThat, and you know what's really ironic about people complaining about the change from "lore" to "folklore"? They're hardly different, and lore might as well be shorthand for folklore to begin with. This "community" *Cough.* collectiveofhypocrites *Cough.* overreacts so much.

Heck I overreacted at first but I chewed on it and sorted it out. Lore has been used a shorthand of history, in relation to a game universes “lore”, for a long time. A term used not as a short for folklore but the nerdy Lord of the Rings dweebs coined to sound cool at their D&D games...fantasy games were history actually is folklore. That line of rebuttal to overreacting is counter productive. But it does get amusing reactions.

You need to reread what she said. “True as far as we know”, which clearly means some stuff stays and some changes. Dude, story has been under editing since before D1 released. This was bound to happen. Yes the BoS happened but actually read it and pay attention. How factual and unbiased is it? The Royal Tongue alone shows how the language they use in it is deceptive. CATEGORIES Oryx Books of Sorrow The Worm Gods ADDED IN The Taken King One day Oryx decided to grow new wings. While he wrestled with his worm, he came upon his twin daughters dying in a wound between places. “What are you doing, my daughters?” he asked. He was afraid that Ir Halak and Ir Anûk were trying to go into the Deep, where only the Tablets of Ruin allowed Oryx to go. “We are dying, father,” they said. “As many times as we can manage.” “That’s adorably precocious.” Oryx shook out his new wings. “But why?” “We propose a method by which Ascendant souls can be detached and integrated into a tautological and autonomous thanatosphere, which we tentatively term an oversoul. Oversouls can be stored in a throne world as a mechanism of enhanced death resilience. As a side effect, new refinements to our Deathsong may be achieved, moving us closer to a generally effective paracausal death impulse.” Oryx brandished his sword. “Speak the Royal Tongue, or I’ll pin you up for Eir to eat.” “If can separate our deaths from ourselves, and hide them, we will be hard to kill.” See what I mean? Imagine the entire book spoken normally and we’d see a different picture. However the main reason still stands. The old storyline threads that are being changed have to be changed either the long slow way in game or a hard break. Hard breaks are easier and quicker and they have less time then they’d like to get it done. I’m not fan of it but I can see why they’d do it.
