When I think of god I think of him as a an old grumpy 19th century teacher with a stick, who slaps the students on the fingers or arse when they don't obey a 100%.

Jesus' message (at least if we're talking about the Christian version of God) is that nobody is beyond forgiveness. We all sin, but being a good Christian ultimately boils down to having a good relationship with God, not much else

So then all you have to do is say you’re a Christian and that you like Jesus and his big beardy daddy and you get forgiven for everything you’ve ever done wrong. Nice to see Hitler, Stalin and Attila the Hun get to go to heaven then! [spoiler]though tbh, to be punished for eternity is a bit much for even murdering someone... I mean on earth if you get caught then you get punished for usually the rest of your life. Maybe even killed for your crime. I think that’s punishment enough...[/spoiler]

Ok yeah but from what I’m aware of, Hitler 100% believed he was being a good Christian. So if he truly believed that then there’s no way he wouldn’t be forgiven. And either way. The Christian god is supposed to be all forgiving so even if it’s sincere or not, you’re gonna get forgiven for what you’ve done.
