I have a technicolor modem
There is your issue right there. There is a known issue with ports that modem uses. You have to contact the manufacturer or your ISP to trobleshoot the ports to open the ones that Destiny 2 uses.

If Bungie was the problem, ALL players would be having the issue, not just a percentage of them. I have never received the Cabbage error. Not once. I have a Nighthawk router. Do NOT compare any other online game with Destiny 2. You should never compare 2 different games, no matter what games they are. Game developers program for different data handling and ports. No 2 games are the same exactly. Again, it is the router configurations that cause the issue or every Destiny 2 player would be having the same issues. Oh and note where you said "I have risolve the problem activating the PPPoE connection on PS4", that still does nothing for your router port configuration. The only way to eliminate the router probles is to get a new router from a different manufacturer, like Netgear, Linksys, etc. or plug you console or PC directly into the modem and bypass the router completely.
The problem is whichever way Bungie has D2 setup connection wise. Cause i wasnt getting these errors in Destiny1
Destiny 2 uses different ports than Destiny 1. You have to open the ports for Destiny 2 on your router if you already haven't. Also note, there are some routers that are incompatible due to the way the manufacturer set them up, like the Technicolor routers. What brand is your router?
-
Technicolor, but i cant access my router, and calling the provider wont work, im in PuertoRico and they would literally leave u on hold for 2+ hours, sometimes not even pick up. Im kinda stuck out of PvE content, can barely do strikes, nightfall, adventures.
Technicolor, but i cant access my router, and calling the provider wont work, im in PuertoRico and they would literally leave u on hold for 2+ hours, sometimes not even pick up.
Then that is the issue because that manufacturer has the port Destiny 2 uses reserved for something else and that causes a problem. I recommend contacting the router manufacturer to see what can be done or sadly, buy a different router.
I wonder why they didnt just arrange it similiar to how they did with Destiny1. No issues there with my technicolor or at all
It might be due to something with how the data runs on it. Regardless, the issue is with that router make. That manufacturer didn't use the industry standard in configurations. The fault lies with them.
-
Bungie made the game, not me. they should fix it to work with the routers just like they did with D1
It works on all other routers so it is not Bungie's fault. It is the manufacturer of the router's fault. Why do people keep blaming Bungie for the issue that a manufacturer of the router did because they failed to follow the standards for port configurations?
-
Well D1 worked fine with my current port configuration So whatever they did differently from D1 is causing problems with technicolor routers. Because the same port configurations from technicolor routers worked fine in D1

Because the same port configurations from technicolor routers worked fine in D1

Well with my current port configuration Destiny1 worked fine So whatever Bungie did diff from D1 is also an issue
Ok? They had to change the ports used for whatever reason. The reason really doesn't matter. The fact is that your router cannot handle it, so you have 2 choices. You can either contact the maker of your router and have them step you through what you need to do to open the ports needed or you can go and buy a router that follows industry standards that can open the ports. The point is, only 1 brand of routers seem to have this issue so it is NOT a Bungie issue since all other brand routers work fine. Or, you have one other choice...not run your device through the router and plug directly into the modem while playing Destiny 2.
-
And that change that you just said the made is causing a problem with technicolor routers that wasnt happening in D1 A change that THEY made.
A change that did not affect anyone else but those with Technicolor routers. Get that? Technicolor routers are the issue, so the only people who can fix it is Technicolor support.
-
Exactly, technicolor routers are affected by the change that Bungie did. Because they werent affected in Destiny1
Seriously, why is this so hard for you to understand...the change did NOT affect anyone else, so the FAULT lies with the way Technicolor routers are set up, so go to Technicolor Support to ask them to tell you how to change the ports. Also STOP comparing Destiny 1 settings with Destiny 2 settings. They changed a lot of things, like using a new hybrid server/client system. Note, this change did not affect my connection. Did not affect any clan mates' connections. Did not affect friends who play that aren't clan members connections. Why? Because we do not use Technicolor routers and use routers that allow users to change security and port settings, which is what the industry standard is. Technicolor decided to do their routers differently. Look, I gave you 3 suggestions and it looks like instead of trying even 1 of them, you want to just keep being stubborn and blame Bungie.
-
I know they made changes in the connection from D1 to D2 Which is my point, whatever changes they made is affecting technicolor routers specifically. When technicolor routers had no issue prior to bungie making those changes

When technicolor routers had no issue prior to bungie making those changes
Yes and they made the changes for whatever reason and don't hope they will change it. I gave you suggestions already to get you up and playing. You don't seem to want to attempt them and that is your choice. However, since Technicolor routers are non-standard in their configurations, you will keep having issues unless you contact Technicolor for help, change routers, or plug directly into your modem and bypass the Technicolor router.

由Darth_Zman编辑: 12/25/2017 12:57:02 AM
Well thats what i mean that the changes THEY made from D1 to D2 is affecting players with technicolor routers
**sigh** I give up. You want to keep using your Technicolor router without making necessary changes to meet the changes to how Destiny 2 works. I cannot help you further due to you not attempting to help yourself by trying to implement configuration changes.
-
I just wanted to make a point that it was them who made the changes
Of course they made a data change. They had their reasons. It is up to you to change your configuration to match it. You seem to not want to and want everything to work like it did for Destiny 1 and that simply is probably not going to happen because their change was probably necessary to accommodate the data of Destiny 2 and the hybrid system they now have.
