It's set in a cyberpunk, neon, gritty world and let me tell you. This game is pretty damn hard on [b]HARD[/b]. I was on the first damn level and died 160 times! It took me over an hour! The game is a top down like Hotline Miami, and the combat is extremely fast pace and if you don't get used to dashing or defensive mechanics you're going to have a rough time. I recommend anyone who's a fan of top down shooters and games with a high learning curve.
