While you have a point you also miss one. To us as players his leaving really means little to nothing but to a company when they lose a paying loyal customer they hate it. They want to know why and how they can win their business back. they also want to know how they can prevent other people from leaving as well. so while most read this is fodder (and to us it should be as such) to bungie and activision they read this as a legitimate complaint that needs a resolution. if they can't keep this guy happy how could they hope to get and retain a new player?
