No it was pretty generic. It was an Ubisoft’s greatest hits game with nice graphics, I don’t understand what the fuss was about. The Witcher 3 and BOTW blow it out of the water.

Well I won't argue about W3 being better, haven't played BoTW, but you also gotta remember it was the studios first time making this kind of game. I think they did a great job, better than Ubisoft did with the latest installments of AC (excluding Origins, haven't played yet).

I never said the story in the Witcher was completely original or groundbreaking but it’s better than horizon’s and so is the world, characters, and just about everything else other than combat. Horizon has a generic story and nothing but pretty graphics to back it up.

That’s not my point. You misunderstand the meaning of “generic”. Just because a game has something or multiple things other games have had doesn’t make it generic. It’s about how the games use those things. Now you may not like the story of Horizon which is fine, but it is far from generic.

It kind of does make it generic especially when it doesn’t make an effort to to do anything cool with some of the ideas it borrowed. Towers are still towers, outposts are just as bland as they are in farcry, the “dungeons” are very run of the mill, I could go on but I don’t want to be too much of a negative Nate.
