Man, after reading your post I feel so sad. Honestly, what did I expect though? Bungie is not the developer it once was. I was stoked for Iron Banner and after playing it for like 10 hours over the last two days, I hate Destiny. I love some of the choices, like 1 super per match and energy weapons, but literally everything else sucks. This company cannot get it's shit together. This story WAS better but it's a bedtime story compared to other titles. The dialogue between characters is horrendous. "The Taken are building an army...*gasp*" Of course they are Ikora! "Traveler is the most researched thing ever!" Then why the -blam!- don't we know anything about it after THREE YEARS!! Iron Banner used to be my FAVORITE! Now I can't play it without freaking out. I'm forced to play like I don't know how to win Control because my teammates don't know how to play control. I can't go off on my own and capture the correct zone because my teammates don't have a clue and I'll get 2v1'd. Handcannon's suck! Snipers suck! There is no hope in reversing a 1v1 if they spot you first. It just goes on and on. Game after game, I'm getting wrecked. At least in D1 Iron Banner when I got my ass kicked I got weapon drops. TLDR: I'm so frustrated it hurts. I give up on Bungie.
