The almighty is irrelevant in this discussion, as the Red Legion have no way of knowing which system to use it in to maximize its threat to the Covenant (a group of multiple species from different planets, possibly and very likely in different systems) whereas with Earth, they already knew since the Cabal had been on Mars already. Also, there is [b]no way in hell[/b] the Red Legion has [i]more[/i] ships, or even [i]better[/i] ships than the Covenant. Unless new canon info is released about Cabal ships, there is nothing to prove they can output more destructive potential than ships that can glass planets and whose plasma torpedoes can melt through multiple layers of Titanium-A ship plating (I'm ignoring Leviathan because it's not [u]controlled[/u] by the Red Legion, and I'm only focusing on them, as per the topic question).
Also, let's see how well the Red Legion fare against scarabs.
tl;dr Covenant stomp very easily.

The almighty isn't irrelevant here because it could be used as a trap, draw the covenant to a planet and fight them, the blow up the sun and pull out your forces (or don't have actual forces there but let them capture a message that implies a large force in a hidden base there). At that point a large army of covenant is gone and scarabs, really, they blow up the tower in the opening minutes without much problem so more of that and they have enough firepower.

I agree with you on every point except for one. Even though the red legion does not have access to the Leviathan, the Leviathan is still a cabal ship. Which means the cabal have access to the technology behind the Leviathan. And by extension, the Red Legion has that access as well. They also have access to the technology behind the Almighty. Besides that, the cabals fleet is garbage next to covenant ships. So unless new Canon information about Cabal naval strength comes out, covenant dominates space.

Fair point, but we know nothing about the Leviathan except that it can swallow planets, again, useless for the collection of Covenant species from multiple home worlds. The almighty though, if they could make a ship with a main gun of that caliber it would be really bad for the Covenant. It depends on how fast and often it can fire, and what the damage it'd inflict to something other than a star would be like. If it destroys a capital ship in one shot (it definitely would), would it hit other ships behind? Would it cause area damage to nearby ships on the left and right?

I wouldn't call the Leviathan useless. Even though the cabal can't use the Leviathan, they can use the tech behind it. Literally eat covenant bases, shipyards, troop formations, rally points, maybe even ships. The Leviathan most likely uses a gravity based method to break apart a planet into smaller chunks and transport them into its maw, not unlike Vex lifts and Fallen drills. Using a scaled down version of this Leviathan technology (or scaled up from the vex and fallen devices), you could wreak havoc with structural stability, ship hull integrity, or the ground in general.
