I don't understand how that's uglier than the normal mode King's Fall weapons.

The color scheme on those weapons isn't that bad and they do actually look like they were ripped from the enemy. To me, they fit with their "origin". I'll agree they're not nice to look at but they're not as bad as the burnt orange monstrosity of the mos Morsus (to me anyway)
