Everquest- since 99, still going strong. Destiny has no raids; 6 people? That's a dinner party. EQ has raids with 100's, I've been part of a 2 week, non stop, circulating 75-100 players in and out on a constant basis, for 1 boss. So yes there is another. Why am I not still playing EQ? Got over 15 years straight on it. I bought my son destiny for beta way back when, watched it, thought, looks like a pretty cool game. Bought my own, been here since then. But, if D2 goes the way of D1 finished, I'm out and prolly firing up my pc again for EQ.

Was very intense, waves of characters, mechanics from hell. This particular raid was the end all raid from the beginning. Dragon named the sleeper. All servers( at the time there was over 20 servers iirc, )each server had this mob, I think to this day maybe half the servers were able to defeat em. Usual end expansion raid is 20-30 peeps, several stages,( one expansion had 3 stages of raid, 6 God bosses, at time of drop it took 20-40 3 days( not at once). I just found it funny how 6 people is a raid, lol. If you hat swat "raid" you, there would even be more then 6. The guy asked, lol. EQ IS the original online multiplayer game, WoW is a cartoon EQ wannabe. Haven't played since D1 came out, for all I know it has guns now, lol. Thanx for reply guardian, b safe in your D2 endeavors

That sounds like a cool experience but it also sounds pretty different. 100s of people is amazing but the much more cozy 6 is pretty cool. Same for timing. There's something unique about the solid 3-4 hour raid experience. Finally, I've never played Everquest but I assume it doesn't play like a FPS? Anyway, yeah, Everquest is cool too.

No sir, EQ is a ..... d n d type I guess, swords, spells etc. There are 4-6 hour raids, I was just referencing the big enchilada). D1 was my first god since resident evil 1, lol( which I believe I played away before EQ. Almost played halo with son, but EQ had a nice expansion that year, lol. I would agree from my limited Fps experience that Destiny is in a league of its own. I still enjoy destiny a lot, even D1

Borderlands and really any mmo you can think of...they basically injected their halo formula into an mmo style game. Whether they do it "better" is an opinion based debate but there's no doubt they copied a lot of games when creating Destiny and jumbled it all up with a half assed story. Just a tip. Don't ever say "faced" again lol...wtf

It's absurd to compare Destiny to an MMO. If you're not playing Destiny for the action gameplay you're doing it wrong. Faced! And Borderlands? You have to be kidding. I liked the first one and played most of the second before I got sort of bored. I guess you at least succeeded in naming a FPS. But that's about it. Faced again.

All I hear are opinions...which mean shit. The topic was you stating Destiny was a unique achievement which it certainly isn't. Whether you like it more than borderlands is irrelevant. ...and I just came to the realization that I'm arguing with a child most likely. Carry on about the fidget spinners if it pleases you.

Nope. I'm full grown! And old enough to know that Destiny is completely unique. There is literally no game like it. That makes it unique. It is also wildly successful. These are facts, not opinions. Faced a fourth time! Wanna go for a fifth facing or are you gonna quit while you're comically behind?

Yea, Destiny has always been praised for its Amazing raids. I've played through all of them but Wrath of the Machine (though I have seen gameplay) and all of them are fantastic. I can't say I had a problem with the loot system since I played the Legendary Edition (Taken King with Expansion 1 and 2). Still, the raids were the most fun I've had in any game before.
