His parents should have the right to take him home!
What kinda bullshit is this? They're about to lose their son so why not let him pass in the comfort of his own home.
Things like this piss me off so much, the people who make these decisions have no emotions what so ever. Im sure as hell if it was their child, they'd want them home too!

He's receiving 24-hour care at one of the most advanced children's hospitals in the world - if he were allowed to be taken home he would die in considerable pain as they don't have the facilities to treat him there - it is more humane to the child to let him die in the hospital.

They can still make that child comfy at home and it should still be the parents right to choose. Any half decent hospital would accommodate this. The elderly have the choice to die at home so why should a child be any different?
No, they can't - he cannot see, hear, move, cry or swallow and needs constant care that they can only provide in a hospital.
Before i changed to my current position, i provided palliative home care for 3 years to all different ages and i have witnessed first hand that hospitals are capable of making anyone comfy at home and providing adequate care. Unless you pay privately for top notch care, the hospitals will always prefer to keep people in because it is cheaper for the NHS to provide care within the hospitals than it is to do so at home. The parents have no control over their child's limited time left and i think it's disgusting they're denied the right to have him at home.
