6 回复He wasn't always the emperor from what information I have, he overthrew the Cabal emporer that was around in D1. Maybe we could team up with the old emperor to stop Gary???

110 回复So an Emperor leads a legion across the Galaxy to battle people who defeated scouts? Well, that along with the devs considering "The Darkness" unimportant proves bad story telling will be making a return from D1. Hugely disappointed.

1 回复The Cabal are uninteresting to me. It's like Dick Cheney invading Iraq for oil, boring.

1 回复I doubt that Ghaul is the emperor. He's probably just a very powerful guy. Afterall who's stupid enough to let an emperor be exiled everytime they go off to fight.

2 回复Ghaul is more likely to hold a rank of Legatus. He might put the former emperor to be in exile as a result from a coup d'état. But that does not automaticly grants him to become the Imperator. As the legitimacy of the title need to have total control of the military and approved by the senates. That would give him more reason for him to lead the Red legions to earth and bring back the Traveller as a trophy back to the empire, which if this mission succeed it would help prove his righteous and be notorious to all the citizens of the Cabal empire. Ghaul is leading the Red legion which I assume to be lesser than the Imperial legion, also to go out to battle is cutting tie with the empire, so that would make him have no more political position within the empire. If the whole Cabal empire went all out to battle earth as a last resort, we would have to see a giant fleet of the Emperor along with the Imperial Praetorian Guard, Senatus, Legatus, Tribunus, Praedectus and Primus. That woud be something with 40 hours game playand, awesome story plot and great dialog and at least 2 hours of epic cut scene. Which I am not convince that Bungie could deliver that at the moment. Ghaul just another Primus wanna be Legatus.

3 回复The Consul is a better possibility to be the Emperor, he/she influences Ghaul on his decisions, he made him believe that the Traveler chose the wrong race to bestow the light upon them... and Ghaul and the Consul want the light.

2 回复What OP fails to mention is that Ghaul staged a Military Coup and became Emperor, exiling the prior Emperor Calus. Just being Emperor and taking the mantle by force are very different concepts that make you see a villain differently. The fact that he staged a coup is much more interesting.

8 回复由zavala feet pics编辑: 6/12/2017 7:47:06 PMGary, or Ghaul, is only the Red Legion Commander. If he worked with a cabal leader to overthrow, he(Gary) might have a promotion, but not be the emperor.
