That's a shame. I'm wondering what technology he's waiting on to be produced; last time it was 3D cameras and screening technology, so where could it go from there?
I also hope it isn't a direct sequel. Nobody will care about the original characters at that point.

The story is said to focus on Jake Sully and his family on Pandora eight years after the original film. Cameron said the movie will stand on its own in case you didn't watch the first one.
I read that the four sequels won't have cliffhangers, each movie will have proper endings but they'll all still have an overarching storyline.
Sounds interesting. I really liked the first film for breaking new ground in cinematography, and I hope he continues to use the series as a means to innovate.
