That has nothing to do with what I said. Besides, the actions of those who were closer to Jesus and the origin of Christianity do speak for the religion. The most actually. Just because modern christians pick and choose what to believe doesn't make the rest go away.

I get how you would think that, was raised religious and went to catholic middle and high school. But I wholeheartedly disagree. Even if I new 100% that god was real, that does not mean I must worship and follow its every whim. I am a free, independent minded being. I am slave to no one, man or deity. If it ever told me to kill, as Yahweh seems to do, I would give it the finger and say fuсk no. Just because you created me does not mean I am your mindless slave. That is why I hate the ideas monotheism spews.

But I don't blame you, religion has been used to control the masses since the dawn of human thought. Try to think of it from this angle. Your parents created you. Does that mean you must worship and follow their every command? No. Besides, if the Christian god, one of millions of human made gods, was real, how petty is it? It creates you to worship it, and if you don't you suffer the worse imaginable pain for eternity. That is the definition of narcism, totalitarianism, and sadomasochism. It is a evil teaching that uses fear to control the weak minded, and clearly created by humans to control the masses. The worst thing is it twists it to say that it loves you and cares for you. You don't get it do you? The only reason the entire universe was created in the first place (according to the Bible) was for glory to come to God. That means that our only purpose is to glorify him. Now, what do you do with a creation that doesn't do what you want? You throw it away. What do you do with a creation that does its purpose? You keep it. It is as simple as that.

Humans are free to make their own choices. We are not owned by some deity, even if that deity does exist. We are not some "thing" to be thrown away if we disagree.
