I'd rather they make the bounty easier to get, but the mission to get the gun a bit harder. Make it a little less luck based and a bit more skill based.

But it's not the same gun. It is a very similar gun to year one. It has a different perk tree (that is very similar) and a different light limit, and one has ornaments and the other doesn't. Let me put it this way... If you bought a 2012 Honda Civic, do you expect Honda to just give you a Honda 2017 because a new version of the same car is out?
