Trump won the election with a ridiculous plan to build a wall on the southern border. As someone else who can say stupid things on the internet, I have come up with a dumb idea for securing the border that makes his look somewhat plausible. 1) Give more funding to laser research. 2) Build massive space laser cannon. 3) Use said cannon to carve nation boundaries into the face of the Earth. 4) Allow resulting ditches to be filled with sea water. Now, I know this sounds dumb, because it is, but there are a few benefits to this plan: 1) It will do about as much to secure national borders as a wall. 2) Canals have significantly greater economic benefits than walls. 3) This will lower the sea level, helping to combat the effects of global warming. 4) Even if all else fails, we would have a -blam!-ing space laser. Thoughts?
