Its bullshit.
There are many games that appear as everyone Green Bar and right in the last minute you notice half the people are yellow and someone is red. I call BS. Nothing changed and Bungie is laughing at us all for saying how much of a change we notice when really all they did was make a post saying they changed things.
If you have any significant amount of hours in this game it is super easy to tell when there is connection issues. Its frustrating as hell to try and play a full game thinking you're having an off game because every time you pull out your ghost you see full green bars, but you end up losing battles and exchanges that you know you should be winning. It is very noticeable.
I UNDERSTAND THAT RED BARS HAPPEN. That's not at all what this is about. We have a shrinking (thinking that could change for a bit) player base right now and some playlists will have people playing each other from all over because that's all there is. The point is Bungie very obviously shows Green Bars when that is not the case. Let me see that before I spend 10 minutes losing exchanges that should be won. I don't care about the loot enough to play through a red bar match.
Player: "is there connection issues right now?"
Game: "Nope, every player is connected great!"
Player: *starts to accept they are a scrub.
Shaxx: "30 Seconds Guardians!"
Game: "Oh yeah, there was connection issues that game btw."
Player: "........"
Game: *Rewards Player Mote of Light
Just show the true connection that is all I ask. It feels like Green Bars get slapped over Red Bars to keep people in the games because they would then have the issue of way too many people dropping out of games early.
I still love Destiny because I play mostly PvE. Lets face it though most the community is PvP and it would be cool to see my friends list filled with Destiny again instead of 2 players.

1 回复由Steveo340编辑: 12/14/2016 3:26:03 PMI have seen some very strange things happen during the last week or so; Iron banner match; everything started normally, but I could not kill or even damage anyone. At one point I was in the middle of three or four players on the other team and they did not even know I was there! I was meleeing and shooting, with them right on top of me and they did not react at all. I checked connections and everyone was full green. Another match, started normally. I run to the spark, but there is no spark, and no other players around, not even on radar. Meanwhile I can hear the sounds of combat and hear the normal commentary ('the enemy has the spark', etc.) I run around a bit more, but it is clear I am the only player in this instance. Again, I check my connection and have a full green bar. Also, a lot of times as I am flying into a match, there were no ships flying with me, so I figure I am joining a match in process. Then an image, that looks like a maze of walls, seen from above, flashes very briefly on the screen, and then I am 'removed from the game world'. Again, I have a full green bar. This happened enough times so that as soon as I saw that brief image of walls (which was a different image each time this happened) I knew I would then be removed from the game world. Each time, I would check my connection; you guessed it, full green.

4 回复Being a Last Word/Sniper runner, the latency mixed with hand cannon bloom just makes me want to gouge my eyeballs out sometimes lmao. TLW might as well have a 4 round magazine and apparently chin shots don't count as head shots. But then other times I can quickscope a Twilight Garrison Titan in mid-air or a hunter mid shadestep. Yep, super consistent! But, really, sometimes the latency is so subtle that you just feel like you suddenly became terrible and then something seriously bullshit happens and it is exposed haha.

3 回复They haven't done the connection matchmaking patch until tomorrow, you should do research first before ranting.

6 回复Bungie have already said that the bars are not to be trusted. I wish you guys would get over the bars... https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/44307/7_This-Week-At-Bungie--02042016 "The connection bars we show in-game are designed to give you a moment-to-moment idea of how good or bad each player's connection is to all other players in the game (not to our servers). There are many factors that go into determining your color on the coded scale. Even if your own connection is the best it can be, terrible performance elsewhere on the Internet can still compromise your experience. When you see a red or yellow bar next to somebody’s name, it indicates problems with their average connection to other players (and usually to you, too). " TL;DR - The bars mean jack shit.

1 回复由evlwarhed编辑: 12/13/2016 1:48:30 PMI'm beginning to think it's a damage referee thing TBH. I've noticed overwhelmingly that when I or team was suckin ass, I never"NEVER" got babooned. But if I was whipping ass, poof baboon. I then noticed it seemed especially when I was special( telesto) killing at will( kills and assists like crazy), poof short black screen baboon to take my ammo. Although I play objective and team play( as much as a rando can) , I don't care for the matador etc. warriors, so I purposely go to all green crates when possible and loot just so other team can't get( yeah). Not only does it work, but with full telesto to spray at will it nets some nice points on assists and kills, even in rift. Damage ref is real, along with the rest of the bungie tricks to make us all the same stats etc. just like the libertards they are. Wouldn't want to offend a noob with years of experience of asskicking

It will never go away because bungie won't spend the money and players can change their connections at will. Get used to it. I believe Activision has run the same money efficient model for 10 or so years. If you keep buying they will keep selling.
