Well my first thought is that you are lucky. I ran heroic strikes all week last week and never once got that strike. But also its a good point. Seems short sighted to put a chest somewhere the game blocks you from getting too. Hopefully the chest gets moved to the front where the boss flys out. That spot always seems available.
