Someone gave my face space herpes.... I feel like it is my obligation to give my space herpes to everyone else. I'm not going to be the only player that sparkles like those lame vampires from a certain series of lame books/movies.

I doubt it and the 2 I did have are probably worn off. I believe I have only had 2 which I got from patrol and a couple of strikes. I can't remember their names. When I noticed it I assumed that is was something new but similar to a rep booster that friends and fireteams can share. I didn't think that it was actually going to be part of the story or the lore behind the story.
