As some of you may be aware, Hillary Clinton both made a speech, as well as releasing an article on her website condemning the "alt-right" movement, which is supposed to be a white supremacist movement, which has taken the Pepe meme, and convinced Hillary's team that it was now a symbol of the group. When a harmless meme was made (seen above), Hillary wasted no time in taking it apart. So what went wrong? You see, the "alt-right" movement was nothing but an elaborate joke set up on 4chan. Obviously the movement became known and escalated in "popularity." The bait was set after many months. Hillary's team took it, hook, line, and sinker. One legendary meme.
