So I won't go into details, but over the past few months, I have been exploring my options as far as religion goes. Now I know a good 50% of OT will instantly say "neither", tell me religion is evil, or in someway or another degrade, defame, and dispute religion as a whole. But I'm not here to debate that.
What I'm looking for is some intellectual conversation from both sides of the world's two largest religions to voice why-
A) Their religion is the true religion
B) Something they'd choose over the other given details of both
C) What faults they see with the other
D) What they feel their religion does to worship God
I am not excluding third-party opinions, however I would ask that you only voice them if they contribute to the conversation and in someway meet or have a similar structure to the points I laid out. I would also ask that answers be formed based off of at least a general knowledge. Media portrayals and the like are not accurate in defining what either religion truly believes.
***On a side note, I am not starting up a religion debate, rather I am seeking personal opinions so I can make a personal choice. Thank you***

I would say the easiest way to learn more is going to a church service and talk to a pastor. While I could explain this to you a pastor could do it 100 times better. I will say that religion requires a lot of faith. Faith that even during the hard times, good times are right around the corner. I hope this helped a little for the Christian side.

Religion all of them are based on faith. Without faith you cannot say you are religous. A person has to believe in God or a higher power. God is a perfect being man is not. Therefore all religions are imperfect due to the fact man created them. Mankind only makes something if it can be used. Now think what man has used religion for in the history of humanity. That should answer your question.

1 回复How about we all just come to terms with the fact that it's entirely likely that nothing happens after we die, but nobody really knows for sure, so just believe whatever the hell you want to believe if it makes you happy as long as it doesn't hurt anyone and in the meantime just try not to be a dick?

3 回复I wouldn't bother joining an organised religion, if the abrahamic god is real you'd go to heaven for not being a shit person and you'll get to keep your Sunday's and don't feel pressured to be in ranks with terrorists and child molesters

3 回复That all sounds like you are looking for a religion for the sake of having religion. As an ex christian who was raised in a very religious family it became apparent to me that christianity is a fraud. Given that christianity and islam have the same god I would suggest that neither is your best option.

3 回复由Liger编辑: 8/16/2016 4:08:58 AMThe most important difference between Christianity compared to Islam (and Judaism too) is that we believe Jesus is God. That's the reason why Muslims want to kill us. Edit: Feel free to PM me OP. I'd like to share more but not on an open forum.

1 回复Technically they're the same thing since they've had the same ancestors but split apart and were raised differently

7 回复Anything dogmatic is not worth it in my opinion. It ruins morality by turning it into rules.

2 回复If a god exists, we likely will never know so I don't see the point. Organized religion is silly to pretend that they understand it all, and pretentious to think that our lives would have any significance to said god. Why are you interested in joining an Abrahamic religion, anyway? And why leave Judaism out of it?

2 回复Personally, I vote for either adogmatic theism (believe in some form of god/gods, but don't subscribe to any particular religious dogma), or some form of LaVeyan Satanism.
