Enjoy the feeling of being absolutely alone as you grind a never ending cycle. And before any moron chimes in and says "but muh single player" the difference between this space minecraft, and all other single player games, is that they have a story, a purpose, and characters which make the world feel alive. So they could have 18 quintillion times as many planets as they already do, I'd rather have one planet that was actually alive with interesting people and places, than all of the dead planets no mans sky has. It's boring, depressing, and a grind fest that puts mmo's to shame.

You speak to aliens learning their language and helping them out. It also has a great thing called making your own story (you decide whether you want to be good or bad) just because it doesnt hold your hand the whole way doesnt mean it has no story.

As someone who has played every souls game I know what it's like to have a story that doesn't hold your hand. No mans sky doesn't have a story besides the one you "make" as if the same five boring encounters repeated a hundred times would even remotely make a decent story.

Normally, I agree. Except I think that this game would be the exception for me. I'm way too curious and inquisitive to be stuck on this planet in real life. This is as close as it will ever get for me. Especially since they are going to keep up with the game with free updates.

Actually I've met plenty of aliens and I have a space creator guide named Atlas. Some Aliens gave me free stuff. I even fed a space dinosaur rocks. I help out crashed alien ships and helped aliens recharge their suits. So actually, I'm not alone. Also it's actually really easy to get gear without grinding. Planets are bountiful with resources and I've already got a good ship, 1,000,000 units(equal to 1,000,000$) on day 2 of release.

Trying to pretend that those five Different interactions make the world feel populated and alive is just plain stupid. There is no meaningful interaction there, no hidden story to find. Just a universe that's empty. And saying it's not a grind fest? You do the same thing on every planet, land farm resources do the same five or six little location things over and over. It's not a grind but I did the same exact thing of find a facility break in and get the same code to a crashed ship just like all other six times?

Actually if you find knowledge stones you are able to learn their languages. I actually understand about 75% of what they're saying. And since I understood what they're saying I'm able to help them and get free upgrades. I even got an assault rifle with 20 slots once.

Yes you have to spend hours roaming planets to fill 3 different vocabularies just to understand the one sentence any box will say to you. Joy. I knew about them. It's just a hassle and they still don't add any flavor to the game, they're just boring.
