I played Dark souls 1 and Dark souls 3 before Ds2:SotFS, and even with that ds2 is my favorite. Its challenging but never really gets really frustrating like the others, the game performs beautifully, and I love the freedom offered by things like the soul vessels.
I also like how you get some choices on where to go first at some points, mainly in the beginning and at the memory sequence part.

I like dark souls because there's no game like it. To me they are almost their own sub genre. However, I can't help but separate dark souls 2 from that group. I will defend drangleic to the end but it doesn't hold a candle to the other two for me. Still a great game though! If your gonna get into dark souls I still say that's the best to start with since it's story is it's own thing and it's bastardizingly easy at points

I didnt get the DLC but I remember liking the combat more than 1, but I felt like it was lazy at being difficult by just throwing multiple enemies at you and blah placement. Also those 3 boss shits with the spears (?) were hell for me haha. Though my first run of the game was dual ceasti Dark Souls 3 is probably my fav though, everything just feels pretty perfect

2 回复SoTFS is by far a better game then DS2 when it launched. Not just because of the patches that fixed the original to an extent. But because the lighting actually exists and enemy placement makes more sense. That being said DS2's pve is extremely weak. Boring boss design up until DLC. Boring level design until DLC. Lore is okay ish. pvp is entirely preference. If we forget all the nonsense DS2 dealt with before SoTFS then it's not that bad. But for me what still holds it back is: soul memory, No reason to make more than one character, no unlimited invasion item, the games overall push towards more farming then any souls title released before or after it, every weapon is buffable and infusable, the lack of having to commit to any attack since you can cancel any animation, I frames on back steps. I could be missing some things. I enjoy DS3 pvp combat the most. While it's pretty simple with not much depth it feels better overall to me. I think DKS probably had the best system when it came to invasions though. DS3's invasions are a bit too punishing even for most hard core invaders. Which doesn't feel good especially when considering how pretty much any newbie can perform alright in a pvp scenario.

2 回复By far the weakest game in the series in my opinion, I feel that dark souls 3 was the sequel the first game deserved :) \[T]/

8 回复I don't like it. You move while locked on defeating the lock on purpose. For example. If you lock on and circle the enemies left your character faces that way instead of strafing. And the more you level up the easier it gets. Yes all dark souls are like that but this one is the worst with it. In ds1 I was 176 on ng+5 and getting my shit pushed in. In 3 I'm 207 ng+6 I think and still get -blam!-ed up. Dark souls 2 I'm 200 something and don't even think I've gone ng+ yet but I kill everything too quickly. Dlc though gave me a rough time and still is but normal game is honestly too easy with how the leveling is. That's just how I see it though

由SeneschalGrigori编辑: 7/27/2016 2:08:58 PMI'm in the minority but it's my favorite next to Demons Souls. Bone fists are far and away my favorite weapons and I LOVED powerstancing (even more than DkS3 version of dual wielding) *I did not like how enemies stopped spawning after 10 deaths though*

5 回复Heide's Tower of Flame becomes unenjoyable if you kill the Dragonrider before the Old Dragonslayer.

I personally found that Dark Souls 2 was too easy to complete and my first playthrough is always solo, the main thing i liked about it was the twinblades, they added a new style of attacking where you could set your own style of using the weapons.

6 回复The PvE mechanics are so bad. You get ganked constantly in a game where fighting more than a single enemy is awkward. The vast majority of the bosses are easy once you invest enough points in ADP, the real challenge of the game is fighting hordes of enemies to get to them. There's too many bonfires, yet most of the bonfires are placed a good distance away from the boss rooms. It requires you to either run past a ton of enemies that can knock you out of the "entering fog gate" animation since it's so slow, or fight them over and over again. I think it's the most unsatisfying game out of the 4 souls' games I've played. Respecs and weapon upgrade materials being infinite is nice and all, but a lot of the weapons I've used in the game are impractical in PvE.

When i first got it i thought "ds 1 so much better" But over time i came to realize DS 2 shines in pvp. I played that game for hundreds of hrs not becauss of pve at all but just for pvp. Dark souls 3 pvp only makes me miss two so much more
