Even with the foot print glitch, there's still a way to track Pokemon. Find the edge of where it disappears from your radar. That's point A. Walk in a straight line until it disappears from your radar. That's point B. Go to the middle, as close as you can make out, from the two points. Turn 90 degrees. You are now either walking directly towards it, or directly away from it.
