Stop giving it federal funds and I'm a lot happier with it. The federal money can't be used on abortions, by law, but it's still a federal subsidy nonetheless.

$20 trillion in debt is absurd. Deferring payment to unborn generations is absurd. Subsidizing a dependent underclass is absurd. A debt-to-GDP ratio of over 100% is absurd. A half-trillion dollar deficit is absurd. A massive Federal bureaucracy is absurd. But sure. Ramp up the spending to Ludicrous Speed, and set the state's power level to Venezuela Lite.
