You're disappointed because they essentially removed the exclusivity the Gjallarhorn created in year one?
That exclusivity which prevented some people from getting into a raid party?
A weapon like that shouldn't be up to chance. All of the exotic weapons should have quest lines that have you personally work to craft them all.
It gives them all more of a story and meaning.
Random chance might create excitement amongst friends but that video of all those people screaming with joy was actually pretty lame; there's no reason to get THAT excited over a virtual weapon.

I didn't have a one for a good long while. Most of my clan had one after me. And it didn't prevent us from going into any raid. It did have some people feel uneasy that I didn't have one until I let them to know of good enough substitutes. The point is, if you show people your worth in a raid group, you won't get questioned, kicked, or excluded from a raid. So in a sense those people who didn't get to raid is not because they didn't have a weapon, it's because they were not good enough. Git gud

You're not correct. People were barred because they didn't have the weapon because they were seen as a liability. Your experience is only one perspective. Either way, weapons like that shouldn't be chance based weapons. That's just not good game design, especially when it comes to gear with an important backstory. Wrong place for "git gud," and probably one of the least appropriate uses of that phrase.

I don't need my self-entitled, oversized ego stroked by some meaningless virtual weapon just because I got lucky. I'd rather actually work for it through a difficult quest with a backstory, lore and a feeling of accomplishment because unlike trash such as you, I actually prefer to put hardwork into my rewards. You need to do us all a favor a Git Better.

It doesn't suck for me because nothing has happened yet. Sucks for them because they feel shorted for not being apart of something more due to a lack of skill and not the lack of a weapon. If a player can't ease a LFG team that he/she is good enough, then said player isn't good enough.
