Screamo where you can't even understand the lyrics.
Cannibal corpse would be a prime example, however I'm glad I can't understand their lyrics...

Most hardcore metal fans detest screamo haha, that tends to fall into metalcore, along with the crap like bring me the horizon and asking alexandria. I personally dislike cannibal corpse but they are talented in their respected genre. I'd recommend giving metal a shot, even if you need to start in hard rock and transition into it, as its such a deep genre that really feels satisfying to explore and develop your tastes to

Yeah we're quite a touchy bunch :P And Metallica are good but they're a bit overrated imo, try not to go for the very mainstream bands because people get very overhyped about songs that aren't very beginner friendly. You'll quickly find that Cannibal Corpse is shit and a terrible front for modern death metal. And if those two bands sound the same to you, then something is horribly wrong with the way your brain processes sound. Both death metal bands, 2 completely different sub-genres. Edit: Screamo is a sub genre that died about 10 years ago.
