Dear Bungie, I love your game. I didn't play year one, but I do thoroughly enjoy what I've played so far. As do many millions of other players. Getting to the point, in Destiny 2, many of us believe you should differentiate PvE and PvP. Now if you're familiar with the Call of Duty game Modern Warfare 2, hence the tag, I'm sure people will agree that the game was good. It was broken and overpowered to the point where it didn't matter. I mention the above game because if you were to separate PvE you would be able to make the experience much more fun and exciting and powerful. It wouldn't affect the crucible gameplay and all the complaints over class differences wouldn't ruin the PvE focused players experience.
