You don't really have a choice over who you really love but you do have the choice of embracing it or denying it depending on what is accepted in society and if you want to follow they norm
the way the question is worded, technically it's a choice.
do people have free will? yes. are they capable of making decisions/choices? yes. can someone choose to be gay? yes.
I wouldn't know.
I hate saying this but i am not attracted to anything. I can't describe love or anything and porn can't change that. I didn't choose this?
so why would a gay / straight person choose and not me?
I was sexually indifferent to all non vanilla/alternative (chicks with dicks, bestiality gendered/asexual) porn until about a year ago. Before then I was constantly exposed to it while porn surfing, but it never triggered a response for me. Then I took a huge dive off the deep end. I'm thoroughly unconvinced that sexual attraction is ever actually determined biologically (as in your mind never develops a preference until you choose to observe something in a sensual way, consciously). If you alter your mindset to associate something with pleasure then the sexual stimulation will follow.
I haven't tried jacking it to exclusively gay porn (futa is probably gay though and non gendered fictional depictions are also non heteronormative), but I can say that things that I would have never even imagined would cause me to be aroused now do and I'm well out of puberty.
I'd have to say it's a semi-conscious choice caused by experiences with contexts that make you associate them with sexual stimulation.

I think its a choice for some, for the rest who don't choose they are mentally ill but society embraces this illness and condemns those such as myself who speak indifferently.
It's not normal therefore there is something wrong with gay people imo.
You can choose to be gay, but that doesn't mean you like it. The people that are gay didn't just one day decide to be gay and then it was so. They discovered that they were over time. BIG difference.
You can theoretically choose to be gay, but most gay people are born gay. There are chemical interactions in your brain that dictate this before birth.
