Take a look at the photo above. Read the thread and look it over, and try to fathom how the thread in anyway was overly violent or sexual in any way at all.
Sure, you say: Lincoln! Come on. The moderator who deleted your thread, and gave that warning -blam!-ed up. It was a simple miss click. Either way Lincoln, you brook the rules and you just need to accept that.
Sure. That's a fair conclusion to make, but you'd be wrong. I set out to test this conclusion by making the same threads but only changing who the threads were addressed to. I even posted these other threads on an alternate account not associated with my name.
Each thread was mass reported a few hours after the creation. It should be noted that this happened months ago.
These were the results of the experiment:
Thread 1: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/193131684
Thread 2: http://imgur.com/ykhlsZI.jpg
Am I the only one who finds it odd that the thread addressed to atheists was left untouched. The same thread when adjusted towards Christians and Muslims is taken down. The exact same thread. Funny. Not only that the second thread directed towards Muslims was deleted for what? Ohhh!!!!! Look at that!!! Sexual content/gory violence. Huh.
So, two threads, one directed towards Christians and one directed towards Muslims both get removed from bullshit false reasons. Some moderator did this purposefully.
Alternatively, it could be that on Bungie.net it is not acceptable to be critical of ideas because it might hurt somebody's feelings. The very act of asking for evidence for somebody's claims is bannable and not tolerable here.
Now. That would be fine if the standard was applied equally. It should be okay to claim Donald Trump is a God, but if a user questions such claims then that should be a bannable offense.
Hey. Somebody out there believes such a claim is true. We can't hurt their feelings. As I already established, being critical of ideas is against the rules. Notice the double standard? The standard applies for thought on religions, but not on other topics.
Either way, whether my first premise is true or the second is true there exists no good conclusion. Either there is a biased moderator out to censor atheists or Bungie.net is a flawed circle jerk that censors all critical thought against religion.
Tell me your thoughts on the topic.

#1. The internet is like public area's in the sense that their is commonplace standards which exist. Don't yell "fire" in a crowded room for example. #2. The standard you broke is common internet etiquette: Do not talk about religion, marriage, or politics on the internet unless the area is SPECIFICALLY DESIGNATED to be a conversation area for such things like reddit.com/r/politics or reddit.com/r/relationship_advice/ (the marriage subreddit is pro-marriage only per their subreddit Code of Conduct on the side). #3. Off topic is not permission to be a douchebag and incite flame based remarks. The internet has plenty of that. You don't have a right to make it worse. Summarized? Wheaton's Rule:
Don't be a dick. You just broke Wheaton's rule. You're such a dick.
Again, it's common etiquette. #4. Not going to vote. That's no biased moderation. That's you, being a dick, to people's beliefs. =)

2 回复This is bungie.net. The mods can ban anybody at anytime for any/no reason and Bungie couldn't give less of a shit. No matter how much we bitch about this system it won't change for the foreseeable future. If you want an intelligent, thoughtful conversation or debate try Reddit

5 回复Yep, they're also biased against older, outspoken members like myself. I make a joke about Jesus mowing my lawn, and I eat a 30-day ban. Same jokes get made upon my return by other users and they go unpunished even though I reported them.

It wouldn't be bannable if people like you didn't harass people like us when we educate the idea of religion. I try to have reasonable conversation with people and the convo turns sour within 30 seconds.
now I'm not saying every single atheist is like this but I find this a lot. People just aren't polite anymore.
由Zonda编辑: 4/29/2016 3:23:57 AMBlame a sloppily written code of conduct for inconsistent moderation. I once got banned for saying 'ayy lmao' simply because I filled another thread with porn, and as a single incident at the time, they could only warn me and had to find another post that could be considered Spam to dish out a ban. good times. In this incident, I'd say the Moderator is trying to take it upon themselves to remove religious/political shitposts, and used the phrase '-blam!-ing carpenter' to satisfy the criteria for a ban under violence/explicit sexuality, because unfortunately this stale flamebait is still allowed to exist under the current code of conduct.
