Shotgun melee is what I do and it's not a matter of skill it's more of luck due to BD hit detection so it'd not a 100% chance of a kill

Practice in rumble, I'm pretty bad in pvp but I can shut down blade dancers pretty regularly with shotgun melee or shotgun throwing knife. Sometimes they get a little close for comfort and we kill each other but with the hit detection still buggy its easier than you might think. Also judging from your conspiracy theory d I'd suggest finding a shotgun with better stability. Good luck out there :)
