Or people who find that having a community of like minded individuals forming a type of support structure can be helpful along with having a sense of morals to follow.
But hey, everyone knows all religious people are idiots and atheists are all super geniuses who totally aren't neckbeard-scratching basement-dwelling virgins.

I never said all religious people are idiots. While some of course highly act like it, I know a good amount of religious people that are a hell of alot smarter than I am. I was referring to the people who base their religion on their entire lives. It's fine to meet and connect with people with the same beliefs. But my belief is alot of people who are religious chose it because they have questions that science cannot answer right now, and they look to a god for protection and false answers.
