They're economy is booming, they'll be self-sufficient food-wise by 2020, they are a conservative society, capitalist without being socially democratic, the media is required to present both side of an argument, their leader is not corrupt like America's, Putin is a badass, they take the right side in wars(like siding with the Syrian government, brokering a peace treaty in Kazahkstan and Armenia even though they are allies with Armenia, and they aren't provoking the US like the US is doing to Russia.) Their elections are multiparty.
A) Putin is absolutely crazy. B) I wouldn't call the Crimean Crisis a good thing. C) "Putin’s Russia is a mess. It’s utterly corrupt. It represses any vigorous opposition and kills inconvenient journalists. Some, including US diplomats, have referred to the country as a mafia state."
