Dear OP,
No,
I will continue to leave strikes just for the shotty because it is taken and it looks like dry rot.
I will continue to ruin heroic strikes for everyone else because I do it with a 2 man fireteam.
Until they allow you to go into the strike directly through venus, I will always ruin the heroic strikes.
