I think that shotguns could use a buff. The reason more people use snipers IMO is because of the shotgun nerf. If shotguns could get a buff, it would promote more fast-paced gameplay and less camp-fest, as the people say.

snipers rule because their is little draw back to them if snipers had more recoil on shot and less time to quick scope a play that is rushing them down then shotguns would have their place back in the mix with the rest of special weapons again

the problem of over use is not a simple problem, the only current issue with snipers is their versitility in PVP they currently sit as one of the easiest weapons to pick up and master. this is only because of the heavy punishment for aggressive play right now if some drawbacks were applied to the sniper in order to put them back to a sniper format rather than a run and gun style weapon then the sniper meta could be balanced again. anyone after that who says shotguns are op is just being a bit rediculus as shotguns are pretty balanced as is right now even with the sniper meta
