It's not the 3 light level gear. It's the rep buffs that turn into weapon drops ... 2 bucks a pop for hella bonus rep... It's more "pay to speed up the process", because RNG will still be just that.
I'm with ya on the people crying about the 3 armor gear though, lol... So dumb.

Its possible you may never have gear rolls as good as someone that sits an opens packs for an hour or so. Now to be clear, I'm not even that bothered about it, I'm of the opinion it doesn't effect me, so what ever. But I can still see why this pisses people off. But now they have added armour, would you really be suprised if they added guns at some point? I wouldn't be anymore.
