Why the hell do you want to go through grind of leveling up gear we have had for over a year minus the fact that droves of people will bitch and complain about how they were screwed cause they deleted their worthless year1 stuff because they were lead to believe it was obsolete by bungie
Why the hell do you want to go through grind of leveling up gear we have had for over a year
It would be exactly the same process as leveling up Y2 gear, so I'm not sure what the issue would be. You'll have to infuse stuff, either way. And, if people flat-out deleted their gear, that's their own damn fault. If they genuinely cared about it, they would've saved it just in case it came back, like me and all of my friends did. ;)

I think you might have mis-understood my post; I explicitly want my existing gear (as in, the stuff I already have in my inventory) to be able to be infused to Y2 standards, not to have to re-earn it all over again. I want reasons to play the old Raids, sure, but that's not one of them. Id like to see XP buffs, new gear, varied challenges, etc., in addition to making old gear relevant.
An I suppose they should let every years gear be updated for each new destiny release right?
But this isn't a sequel. This is still Destiny 1, so I'm not sure why your jumping to that argument. If my gear is reset every time a proper sequel releases, I'd understand, but that's not what were talking about. And, even so, Bungie explicitly said that the plan for the series was that our characters and gear would carry over into future releases, in case you forgot. Obviously, plans change over time, but that doesn't change the fact that when Destiny was released, the community was under the impression that their gear would carry over, and played accordingly. So, actually, YES, our gear should carry over, based in Bungie's own statements atvtye beginning of this series.
Just let it go fatebringer is not coming back
God, why does everyone say that? For one, it's about more than any one weapon; it's about the principle of respecting players' time. Also, what I genuinely care about is my Trials Adept Primaries, for the record. You know, just the hardest gear to obtain in the game, that I only got to use for about 2 months. No big deal, though.
