I feel that trans rights is next up for civil rights. In time, they will gain acceptance; like women, black people, and homosexuals. But like the previously mentioned groups of people who fought for their civil rights, and have those rights recognized by the law, prejudice and discrimination will still exist for them.
How many "in the kitchen" jokes are still made at the expense of women? How long have black people endured racism? How many more homosexuals will be shamed for their sexuality? The "fight" will never end because it's human nature to discriminate based off of differences, but I hope that one day; we won't care about differences anymore.
