Not allowing males is exclusivity based around a population we want to create a safe space for, not sexism. Sexism is oppression/discrimination by the privileged sex (men) against the non-privileged sex (women).

Women may exercise privilege based on some other aspect of their identity (say race or social class, for example) or because of positional power they hold within an organizational structure. However, they do not have that privilege solely because they are female, as is the case for men in our society, and therefore that situational privilege does not begin to compare with the systematic oppression women face in our society as a whole.

Sexism is a societal structure of oppression, not a situational instance of exclusivity, and our gaming clan is a situational instance of exclusivity. When folks encounter a space their privilege doesn't allow them to occupy, I understand they don't like it, but perhaps they should examine where that discomfort comes from instead of trying to devalue the community we've created here.
