So after the new patch rolled out, I tried to play some crucible, and all I can say is: "wow, this is the worst connection-based experience I've ever had in a shooter".
I played 5 matches, and in every match, there was not a single person with a green bar connection--everyone was yellow or worse.
I assume this has to do with the new damage referee, and I figure that it must also mean I've been chosen to be among the people who are forced to suffer having a bad connection by being placed with similar players.
Only here's the catch: I have really good internet. I'm wired into my router and get down/up speeds of 110/12. So why am I being put in these horrific matches? Is that really not a good enough connection for this new 'damage referee'??
I guess I'm stuck playing stale PvE content since the crucible is now unplayable for me...
EDIT: To all the lovlies calling me a liar and a hater because I only have one game in crucible recorded yesterday, I remind you aht I have more than one account, and I went on both to see if the problem was limited to one...

4 回复Because crucible is still SBMM. Now at 25 hours total of testing. I can see no difference in CBMM and skill is still the determining factor. So far it seems damage referee may, in fact, be working opposite of how its intended.

10 回复You do know we can look at your history right? You played 1 F'ING game of pvp last night... 1

Where do you guys find these all red bar lobbies ? Im playing with an average internet from İstanbul and I haven't experienced lag since yesterday's patch. Nearly everyone in my lobbies were green bar and connection just felt good and also at this point if you think you will find lobbies filled with players that doesn't know how to play pvp you are wrong

It's pretty obvious that Bungie has taken it upon themselves to throttle individual connections(somehow) in an attempt to artificially keep the games close. It's really no different than point shaving in field sporting events. Skill as been largely taken out of the equation for end game results. They have failed miserably.

Logged onto Destiny after a month or so, good break, I tried the new MM yesterday for 3 games, and the first was great. Great connections, people weren't too sweaty, but the other 2 games were good with connections, but the kids were sweatier than what you would find before. I want to have fun, not bust my ass every game to do good.

2 回复I played and didn't notice anything different except that everyone's bars were yellow as you discribed, i did have an amazing rumble match now that i think of it. I wonder if there metrics were off.

Damage Referee has nothing to do with matchmaking. Damage Referee is when you have a poor connection, shoot someone with a good connection, and see no damage proc. It's designed to even the playing field when matched up against those seemingly immune red bars.

7 回复由t-mutton编辑: 3/9/2016 12:56:10 PMI don't know why bungie won't just show the actual ping time for all players in a match. That way you could see what's going on with everyone's connections, instead of a nondescript coloured bar.

Just accept that Bunglevision will never get it right. PvP in this game is crap since TTK and as long as they don't reroll anything this game is literally unplayable. I truly loved the game but they destroyed it...good thing is: My unhealthy addiction to this shit is finally done.
