Kakarot is his technical name, but he didn't even know that until raditz's arrival. When Vegeta began calling Goku by Kakarot, Goku stated many times he had abandoned that name after the destruction of the Sayan race. Only person to regularly call Goku by Kakarot is Vegeta, which Goku is eventually just accustomed too.
