Trying to diffuse conflicts over perspective (i.e. religion, feminism, really any social issue) Being sensible is not something people respond to they only look for the next person they can prove wrong with their opinion that they claim is fact. I try to get people to realize that arguing perspective is useless, unless for pure knowledge and healthy debate, but alas I am unsuccessful.
