If we didn't have the ability to complain do ya think the dlc content would have been better?
I personally do as they tried to fill too many demands

No, destiny would have the same content as it did in e3 if they weren't with Activision. I'm not sure when the lead story developer left, but maybe it was the same case with why Martin o donnel was fired. They didn't use his work.
