[u][i][b]Common Enemy[/b][/i][/u]
After several days of silence, the Alliance had started to believe that the one that attacked the Federation town a week before had grown bored of his killings. Then, before they could relax, an Alliance civilian transport goes dark. Upon further investigation, they find the ship was attacked and nearly everyone was killed(the few survivors survived by hiding). On the ship are the words CHAOS ABOVE ALL burned into the hull. The Alliance was wrong in its assumption, and a similar incident was reported on another Alliance transport and a few Federation civilian transports and bases. The Alliance decides to hold a meeting with the Resistance leaders to address the new threat. Whatever he is looking for, he is starting to grow inpatient in his search...
[spoiler]Open for the meeting. Now there is something both sides have to worry about. [/spoiler]

Simon enters the room in the stead of his team. He's an unassuming character at the moment. Leaning against a back wall of a meeting turned standing room only, Simon listens to all of the small talk taking place since the news has broken. This is a desperate moment in their history of neither side can get the job done, but wasn't that why he was there? Then again his own government had failed anyway. Then again wouldn't he be a part of that failure. Simon turned over a lighter in his hand. He hadn't smoked in a while. In fact he was quitting. Today more than ever though a creeping feeling stirred within that cautioned him. A caution that extended far past his need for nicotine and ruled against this impending mission and his duty.

He chuckles a little as his lips curve in a smile. "You never notice the little people. It's fine. I totally understand, just little cogs in a big wheel. People like me just meander in the sidelines. Anyway, I'm just here to get a report filed that no one will ever see. Pretty efficient stuff."

At this Simon gets a hearty laugh. "Pretty literal aren't you? It's my job, what they pay me to do. I'm just a plebeian, totally unimportant. You meanwhile, well you are very important. So you don't have to do all of the little things." He gets thoughtful for a second before continuing. "Maybe... Someday, someone in the future might ask what happened tonight. They'll dig through lost archives and find my report. Maybe, just maybe, it will be read."

The scan reveals a human, regular attire a pen stuffed behind his ear and a notepad in his back pocket. Simon is amused. "You do realize the Alliance does try to stay organized? Part of that is keeping track of these meetings for reference so on and so forth. A who came, what happened, who knew, was involved. It's just a general given."

Ara, these are the SilverPulses known as Icier, Quickblast, and Dark Storm."-Shadowed One *Icier looks confused "I don't get it. What did it say?"-Icier "It spoke in our heads. Must be a telepath. No wonder you didn't hear it."-Quickblast "Don't worry. I'll tell you what Ara says."-Dark Storm [spoiler]Icier is a mechanical organism, so he is immune to telepathy. The Shadowed One is a BIO mechanical organism, so he isn't. Just want to clarify why Icier couldn't hear Ara's voice. [/spoiler]
