Canonically, Clone and Stormtrooper armor blocks virtually all ballistics. And assuming that this is the IC group, the commando armor can fully withstand a blast from a thermal detonator, whereas Mjolner cannot. Obviously you're using old canon, or else the battle doesn't have half enough depth on the clones side. I really like ODSTs, but this is a silly fight.
