And it honestly wasn't too bad. It's a simple one, but it has meaning to me. It's part of a couple's tattoo I got with my girlfriend, as a four year anniversary gift to her. She got my nickname for her and I got her nickname for me, with the respective animal.
So, who else around here has tattoos? Any special meanings behind them? Pictures welcome, of course. If you don't have any tattoos, what it your opinion on them? Do you have any plans to get one in the future?
I intend on getting probably one more tattoo in my lifetime, but that's about it. It'll relate to my spiritual beliefs/career, likely going to design it myself when I feel i've done enough to earn it.

7 回复I'll probably get a tattoo once I decide upon what military branch I join and everything. But it's gonna be after I retire from service surely.

4 回复Awesome! I have 4 tattoos at the moment, definitely going to get a lot more done. I have a couples tattoo with my girlfriend, we both got heart outlines on our ring fingers a couple of years ago as a place holder for the real thing later down the road.

4 回复Here's the deal question. What if you guys break up? Then that tattoo will only be a reminder.

3 回复Sorry, but I find your tattoo pretty strange. Don't know why, usually I kinda like tattoos.

4 回复Hmm well I guess if you like it that that should be what matters most but how much did it cost cuz it doesn't look particularly... Detailed or stylised... I'm not saying it's bad but if you're going to get an expensive tat then make sure you go to a good artist and make sure it's a good design. I have a black wolf on my left arm and a white wolf on my right, representing the yin yang wolves with a flowing smokey Japanese design. Might post a pic if I can

2 回复I see tattoos like clothing or an accessory - i like it because it's fancy, but it will eventually get old, outdated or just plain boring. Take sneakers for example. How would you feel wearing your favourite pair of sneakers every day and night until the end of time? Also, relationship-related tattoos might get outdated, actually in 50% of all cases. I don't dislike meaningful tattoos at all. But i'm just to experienced and realistic (sigh) that there might be a time when you regret having an old picture painted on your body.

1 回复I'm not one to put ink that will never come off all over my body but it doesn't stop me from looking at other peoples tattoos. That looks really cool does it have a larger meaning?

1 回复While in Tainan, Taiwan, friend of mine learned some important lessons about tattoos. 1. Never get a tattoo when you are drunk. 2. More importantly, never get a tattoo while the tattoo artist is drunk. 3. A dragon across your back costs $800. 4. Fixing the dragon across your back costs $1200. 5. If you are going to get a tattoo, do it while you and the tattoo artist are sober.
